Type of Problem- Business Application

Problem-01: In a country the total number of people 50,000 out of them 56% read Ittafaq, 46% Jonokunto and 12% do not read any newspaper. Required: (a) How many people read both paper (b) How many people read only Ittafaq. (c) Read jonokunto but not ittafaq. (d) Only one paper.

Problem-02: In a class of 25 students, out of them 12 student taken economics, 8 student taken economics but not marketing. Find: (a) How many students taken economics and marketing. (b) Who has taken marketing but not economics? (c) How many students took only one subject?

Problem-03: In 325 people, 185 bought daily star, 150 bought Bangladesh observer and 95 both paper. Find: (a) How many people did not purchase any newspaper? (b) How many people purchase daily star but not observer? (c) How many people purchase observer but not daily star? (d) How many only one purchase? (e) How many at least one of paper?

Problem-04: In an Examination 58% failed in English, 39% failed in Math and 17% failed in both subject. Find (a) How many pass in both subjects? (b) Show the Venn diagram.

Problem-05: In an Examination 50% of students passed in management 48% passed in accounting while 45% have passed in both subjects. If 30 students have failed in both subjects. Find the total numbers of students.

Problem-06: In a recent survey, 600 students of the accounting department of Dhaka college it was found that 300 students like muazzem sir, 150 students like rakhal sir and 80 students like both sir’s class. Calculate: (a) How many students like only muazzem sir’s class. (b) How many students do not like both class.

Problem-07: In a factory 60% peoples like tea 30% people like tea but not coffee. (a) How many people likes both types of drink? (b) How many people like coffee but not like tea?

Problem-08: Out of 1000 students of CA examination 750 failed in math, 600 in accounting, 600 in economics. 450 failed math and accounting, 400 math and economics and 150 in accounting and economics. If 75 failed in all three subjects, then proved that the information is not Correct?

Problem-09: Out of 500 students of Brahmanbaria Govt. collage, 150 students taken management 200 student taken accounting and 150 students taken economics. 25 students taken management and accounting, 20 students taken accounting and economics,30 students taken management and economics. 12 students taken all three subject. Required: (a) Any one of three? (b) Do not any one of three? (c) Only taken two of three? (c) Only management but not accounting and economics.
